Researchers of the Information Security Laboratory of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies visited Vietnam Japan University (Hanoi, Vietnam) as part of efforts to develop international scientific cooperation and expand partnerships with foreign research centers

The visit took place from April 23 to April 28, 2026, at the invitation of the Intelligent Mechatronic System & Japanese Manufacturing Program (EMJM) and the Computer Science & Engineering Program (BCSE). This invitation resulted from previously established contacts and a mutual interest in advancing joint research in cybersecurity and related fields.

During the visit, the institute’s representatives delivered a series of lectures on актуal issues in cybersecurity, including modern approaches to data protection, cryptographic methods for ensuring security, and prospects for post-quantum technologies. The lectures attracted significant interest from the host side and served as a basis for further scientific discussions.

In addition, the researchers participated in scientific seminars and thematic meetings, where ongoing research activities were presented, and current challenges in information security, along with possible solutions, were discussed. Particular attention was given to the development of lightweight cryptographic algorithms and their application in resource-constrained environments. Another important focus of the visit was the discussion of prospects for joint research.

Following the visit, both parties noted the high potential for further strengthening partnerships, expanding scientific collaboration, and implementing joint research in priority areas.
