CHES 2026 (Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems) is one of the leading international scientific conferences in the field of cryptographic hardware and embedded systems. Organized under the auspices of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), the conference brings together leading researchers and specialists to discuss advances in hardware and software implementations of cryptographic algorithms, security analysis, and modern information protection techniques.
In 2026, the conference took place in Antalya, Türkiye, from 11 to 15 October. The event addressed a range of important topics, including the development of cryptographic technologies, the security of hardware implementations, side-channel attack analysis, and advances in information protection methods.
The researchers of the Information Security Laboratory participated in the conference and presented the results of their scientific research at LightSec 2026 – the 7th International Workshop on Lightweight Cryptography for Security & Privacy, a workshop on lightweight cryptography for security and privacy held as part of CHES 2026.
During the workshop, the researchers presented their paper entitled “Analysis of Cryptographic Properties of the FEATHER-RX Lightweight Block Cipher.” The study focuses on analyzing the cryptographic properties of the FEATHER-RX lightweight block cipher, evaluating its cryptographic security, and investigating its potential applications in systems with limited computational resources.
LightSec is an international scientific forum dedicated to advances in lightweight cryptography, efficient cryptographic implementations, and information protection technologies for resource-constrained devices.
Participation in CHES 2026 and LightSec 2026 provided the laboratory researchers with an opportunity to present their findings to the international scientific community, exchange knowledge and experience with international colleagues, and strengthen scientific connections in cryptography and information security.
Participation in international scientific events of this kind contributes to the development of the Institute’s research activities in cryptography and information security, fosters international research collaboration, and promotes the dissemination of scientific results at the international level.
