Employees of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies (IICT) – Director General, Professor M.A. Bektemesov, and Leading Researcher, Associate Professor S.E. Kasenov – visited NSU in the second half of December 2025 at the invitation of Academician M.P. Fedoruk, Rector of Novosibirsk State University

During their visit to Novosibirsk, they discussed a wide range of collaborations between NSU and IICT in the fields of information technology, biomedicine, management, and analysis, and conducted research on the development of modern methods and solutions for inverse and non-technological problems in tumor modeling.

On December 22, 2025, at the Institute of Mathematics SB RAS, members of the joint scientific seminar (IM SB RAS, ICMMG SB RAS, MMC IM SB RAS, Department of MMGF, and MMF NSU) “Applied Inverse Problems and Machine Learning” (led by RAS Corresponding Member S.I. Kabanikhin and RAS Professor M.A. Shishlenin) held a meeting on the topic “Study of Cauchy Data in Continuation Problems with a Partial Boundary.”

Corresponding Member of the RAS Sergey Igorevich Kabanikhin delivered the report. In his report, he reported an analysis of the ill-posedness of Cauchy problems with data on a partial boundary to obtain data from early derivatives. Variants of domain boundaries (time-like, characteristic, space-like) for which the Cauchy data on a part of the boundary are differences are considered. Conditions are obtained whose violation leads to instability of the continuation problem.

The IICT staff also visited the Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies, the Center for Smart Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, and the Center for Interaction with Government and Industrial Employees at NSU.

These meetings and joint discussions will ultimately facilitate international scientific collaboration and the achievement of new scientific results.
