On February 20, 2026, a meeting was held at the Institute of Ionosphere under the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan with scientists from the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan

During the visit, representatives of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies were introduced to the activities of the scientific laboratories of the Institute of Ionosphere, its research infrastructure, and its ongoing scientific projects.

The discussion identified priority areas of mutual interest, including monitoring and modeling of ionospheric processes, big data processing, the application of supercomputing technologies, and the integration of digital solutions into the aerospace sector. The importance of an interdisciplinary approach combining fundamental research in upper atmosphere physics with modern information and computational methods was emphasized.

As a result of the meeting, the key areas for further cooperation were defined:

• development of joint research programs;
• exchange of scientific data and technological solutions;
• training of young specialists;
• participation in national and international grant initiatives.

The parties expressed their readiness for long-term strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the country’s scientific and technological potential and implementing high-tech projects in the aerospace sector.
