On November 27–28, 2025, the First Scientific and Practical Conference “Quantum Supremacy: Global Trends and Achievements. Regional Alliance of the Republic of Kazakhstan” took place at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The conference brought together representatives of the scientific community to discuss current trends in quantum technology development, share experiences, and analyze prospects for international cooperation. Special attention was paid to strengthening Kazakhstan’s regional alliance in the field of quantum research, promoting innovations, and forming scientific partnerships with leading global centers.
From the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies, Senior Researcher of the Information Security Laboratory, PhD, Associate Professor Algazy Kunbolat, and Aldazhar Zhalgas participated in the conference.
During the event, Zhanna Dulatovna Kurmangaliyeva, Board Member and Vice-Rector for Science, Commercialization, and Internationalization at L.N. Gumilyov ENU, addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of developing quantum technologies and expanding international scientific cooperation.
Doszhan Musaliev, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also spoke to the conference participants. He emphasized the strategic importance of quantum research for the country’s technological progress and encouraged the scientific community to actively implement joint initiatives.
The conference was attended by guests from Canada, India, Pakistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. International participants presented their research and noted Kazakhstan’s growing interest in the development of quantum science.
