Scientists from the Institute of Computer Science and Technology took part in the international scientific symposia WILGA-2026 and SPIE PAACIHEPE – 2026 in Poland

From July 2 to 3, 2026, scientists from the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kalizhanova Aliya Ualievna and Kozbakova Ainur Holdasovna took part in the international scientific symposium WILGA-2026 and the international conference SPIE Photonics Applications in Astronomy , Communications, Industry, and High Energy Physics Experiments 2026 , which took place at the Lublin University of Technology ( Lublin, Republic of Poland) .

As part of the event’s scientific program, IIT staff presented the results of research conducted as part of an ongoing research project.

Particular attention was paid to the plenary presentation on “Science and Industry ,” which focused on the integration of fundamental research and the industrial sector. Discussions addressed current trends in the implementation of advanced technologies, prospects for interdisciplinary collaboration, and the role of science in the development of high-tech sectors of the economy. Participants noted that SPIE events are among the most prestigious international platforms bringing together representatives of science, industry, and innovative businesses.

Participation in the symposia provided IIT scientists with the opportunity to learn about the latest global advances in photonics, artificial intelligence, optoelectronics, digital technologies, and high-tech instrumentation, establish new scientific contacts, discuss prospects for joint research, and expand international collaboration with foreign scientific organizations.

Following the international forum, promising areas for further research were identified, opportunities for joint research projects were outlined, and the implementation of research results in industry were discussed. The participation of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies staff in events of this level contributes to strengthening international scientific cooperation, increasing the visibility of Kazakhstani science on the global stage, and advancing modern research in the fields of information technology, photonics, and intelligent systems.
