Researcher from IICT Delivered a Scientific Presentation at UCL (London, UK)

As part of a scientific visit to London, a researcher from the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies (IICT) delivered a presentation at one of the United Kingdom’s leading universities — University College London (UCL).

The presentation was held before professors and experts in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

The talk showcased research results focused on modeling air pollution and river siltation using numerical methods and modern machine learning approaches. Special emphasis was placed on the application of Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINN) and their comparative analysis with conventional CFD models.

The applied nature of the research and its openness to international collaboration sparked interest among professors from the United Kingdom and China. As a result of the meeting, agreements were discussed regarding joint scientific publications and consultations on the implementation of the developed models in urban planning and environmental monitoring.

This visit marked an important step in strengthening international scientific ties, expanding professional dialogue, and promoting Kazakhstani research on the global stage.
