Official Business Trip of Institute Staff to the Republic of Türkiye

From 15 to 19 December 2025, staff members of the R.G. Biyashev Laboratory of Information Security of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies, subordinated to the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, namely N.A. Kapalova, K.S. Sakan, and D.S. Dyusenbayev, undertook an official scientific trip to Kocaeli University, located in Kocaeli, Republic of Türkiye.

During the scientific seminar, the participants became acquainted with the main research areas of Kocaeli University in the fields of information technologies and information security. In addition, the results of ongoing research activities conducted at the R.G. Biyashev Laboratory of Information Security of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies were discussed.

The official scientific trip enabled the expansion of international scientific cooperation, the establishment of direct contacts with leading foreign research centers, and the identification of areas for the implementation of joint research initiatives. During the meetings, modern scientific approaches in the field of information security, the theoretical and applied aspects of cryptographic primitive development, as well as the prospects for their integration into information security systems were discussed.

In addition, opportunities for the development of bilateral scientific cooperation in these areas were considered. Within the framework of a scientific seminar, researchers from both parties delivered presentations on current trends and challenges in the field of information security, and the research results obtained in the course of scientific work were presented for discussion.

During the scientific meetings, issues and development prospects were discussed in the areas of modern cryptographic methods and encryption algorithms, the development of domestic hash algorithms and lattice-based digital signature schemes for post-quantum digital signature systems, the design of IoT system architectures, ensuring the security of IoT devices, as well as the complex and current aspects of applying machine learning techniques in the field of cryptography.

The experience gained and the outcomes of scientific exchange give full confidence that they will contribute to enhancing the quality of fundamental and applied research in the field of cryptography, as well as strengthening the scientific potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the area of information security.
