The First Republican Forum of Young Scientists “Zhas Galym” was held at The Eurasian National University, which brought together more than 300 young scientists from all over Kazakhstan.
During the forum, participants discussed the opportunities that the state creates for the development of Kazakhstani science, including to support young scientists. In addition, the forum participants shared ideas and proposals to strengthen the country’s scientific potential and promote scientific communities, discussed ideas for integration into a global scientific network and voiced solutions to pressing problems through a scientific approach.
During his speech, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of RK, Sayasat Nurbek, congratulated young scientists on the Day of Science Workers and called on the scientific community to support each other.
“We need applied ideas and projects, strong teams now. Today, interdisciplinary research is both potential and effective.
We need you very much. Believe in yourself, we will support you with all our might. Take advantage of the opportunities. We need new projects, new faces. The younger generation looks up to you. It is encouraging to note that 46% of the 25,500 scientists are young scientists under the age of 40. If your dreams are strong and sincere, you will succeed,” the minister said, addressing the audience.
