The Institute of Information and Computational Technologies co-organized the 10th International Scientific Conference “Mathematics, Mechanics, and Information Technology” which was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University from September 20 to 26, 2025.
The conference was attended by prominent scientists and specialists from Kazakhstan, the United States, Great Britain, Japan, Italy, Russia, Portugal, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Georgia, and other countries.
The plenary session was opened by Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board of KazNU and Rector, with a welcoming address. He emphasized the importance of digital technologies and discussed the research work being conducted by the university’s research centers.
Additionally, Bakytzhan Zhumagulov, President of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Aidarkhan Kaltayev, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Sergey Kabanikhin, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke at the opening ceremony, sharing their views on fundamental problems in mathematics and mechanics.
The three-day international conference included plenary sessions featuring world-class scientists; breakout sessions on mathematics, mechanics, and information technology; poster sessions where young researchers presented their projects; a roundtable discussion on “Artificial Intelligence in Science and Technology: Challenges and Opportunities,” and other events.
During the conference, presentations were made by academicians from the national academies of sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, as well as professors from the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Padua, the University of London (Queen Mary), Nazarbayev University, and other leading research centers. Fundamental and applied problems in mathematics and mechanics, as well as the latest advances in robotics, information technology, and artificial intelligence, were discussed.
