IN MEMORY OF A GREAT SCIENTIST

Today, March 1st, on the birthday of Academician of the NAS RK, professor, doctor of technical sciences Yedilkhan Amirgaliyev, we respectfully remember him as an outstanding scientist, a great teacher, and a unique personality who made an enormous contribution to the development of science and dedicated all his efforts to the upbringing of a new generation of researchers.

His contribution to science is immense. As the author of over 500 scientific works, 8 monographs, numerous textbooks, and teaching aids, he became one of the founders of the development of intelligent systems, speech technologies, robotics, and mathematical modeling. His ideas and research were published in domestic and foreign scientific journals and found application in various fields, from image processing to Earth remote sensing.

As a great teacher and scientist, his true legacy lies in his students. Under his guidance, 6 candidates of sciences and 14 PhD successfully defended their dissertations, and over 30 students earned master’s degrees. He not only taught, but also invested in unlocking the potential of each student, showing the right path and providing support. We proudly remember him as an exceptional mentor who left an indelible mark on the hearts of his students, colleagues, and the entire scientific community of Kazakhstan.

Yedilkhan Nesipkhanovich was a unique personality who left an indelible impression on the hearts of all who knew him. His compelling presentations at scientific seminars, deep discussions, care for colleagues and students, and passion for scientific discoveries all made him not only a great scientist but also a person with special qualities.

Today, we remember him with sincere gratitude and respect. His works are widely used in the research of his students, and his name will forever remain in the history of science.
